The 134L5903 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and assigned to the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. This electronic unit converts fixed-frequency AC power into a modulated output that matches motor torque to load demand in air handlers, pumps, and cooling towers. Within industrial automation, the device serves as the final power stage that allows building management systems to regulate temperature and airflow without relying on mechanical throttling. Its variable-speed operation can reduce unnecessary motor output when HVAC equipment operates below its maximum load.
It connects to a 200 to 240 VAC supply and operates on three-phase power, allowing direct integration with standard low-voltage switchgear. The inverter has a continuous output rating of 15 kW, which corresponds to 20 HP and suits medium air-movement loads in packaged rooftop units or secondary chilled-water loops. A sealed housing with an IP55 / Type 12 rating prevents dust ingress and resists water jets, allowing the drive to be mounted in mechanical rooms without an additional enclosure. Because the design omits a brake chopper, regenerative energy must be dispersed through the motor or an external resistor if rapid deceleration is required.
