Product Description:
The 134H9755 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It serves as a motor speed controller for pumps, fans, and compressors used in building ventilation, heat exchange, and chilled-water circulation. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output, the device allows airflow or liquid flow to match real-time demand, improving energy efficiency across HVAC zones. A die-cast aluminum chassis with an integrated heat sink forms a self-contained package that can be installed directly on equipment frames without a separate enclosure.
At its motor terminals, the inverter delivers 1.1 kW of continuous mechanical power, which is equal to 1.5 HP. The input bridge accepts 380 to 480 VAC and is designed for three-phase power, so the drive connects to compatible industrial feeders without transformers. Sensing circuits inhibit operation during phase loss or overvoltage, protecting the IGBTs from potentially damaging electrical conditions. The IP66 / NEMA 4X enclosure blocks water jets and dust, enabling rooftop installation near air-handling units. Rear cooling ribs disperse heat generated by full-load switching, minimizing derating at typical mechanical-room temperatures.
Local operation is provided by the graphical local control panel, which supports multiline text, trending, and dedicated function keys for parameter adjustments. An integral RFI filter suppresses conducted noise, reducing interference with building automation sensors and fire alarm wiring. Upstream safety isolation is simplified because a factory-mounted mains disconnect allows the input to be locked out during maintenance. The control boards use uncoated printed circuit boards, which support effective heat removal but require installation in dry areas. The drive does not include brake chopper hardware, so external dynamic braking can be added when process inertia requires controlled deceleration. This arrangement leaves room for application-specific braking components while keeping the standard internal layout uncomplicated.
