Product Description:
The 131Z7545 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and regulates motor speed in ventilation fans, pumps, and compressors. This variable-speed control allows building-management systems to maintain temperature, airflow, and pressure according to changing demand. Reducing motor speed during periods of lower demand can also decrease energy consumption and mechanical stress on connected equipment.
The inverter accepts an input supply of 380–480 VAC and provides a continuous output of 37 kW, equivalent to 50 HP of mechanical power at the motor shaft. Its three-phase power input connects directly to common industrial electrical supplies without phase conversion. Communication with higher-level PLCs is available through the PROFINET MCA 120 A-option card, enabling real-time control, status monitoring, and diagnostic communication over industrial Ethernet. Standard cabinet mounting is supported on A, B, or C frames, while Adaptation A provides the required cable entries. The second adaptation slot and the additional B, C0, and C1 expansion modules are not installed in this configuration. A brake chopper is also not included because typical HVAC fans and pumps generally do not require rapid dynamic braking. The drive adjusts its output frequency and voltage to regulate compatible AC motors across the operating range.
The drive has an IP20 chassis rating, so it requires installation inside a suitable protective enclosure while remaining accessible for connection and maintenance. Conducted emissions are limited by the integral RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, helping the installation meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements without a separate external filter. Control power can remain available during brief supply interruptions through the MCB-107 24 V DC backup D-option module. Local interaction is provided by the Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays operating values, parameters, alarms, and trend information. The drive uses uncoated printed circuit boards and a three-digit series identifier of 102. Its input arrangement does not include a mains option, and its cabinet accessories use frame mounting rather than wall-mounting brackets.
