Product Description:
The 131Z2201 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It adjusts the frequency and voltage supplied to a connected motor, allowing its speed to follow the operating requirements of the building system. The drive is designed for fan and pump motors used in air-handling units, chillers, ventilation systems, and similar building-services equipment. Variable-speed operation can reduce unnecessary motor output when the system requires less airflow or fluid movement.
The power section accepts a line supply of 380–480 VAC, which is compatible with common commercial distribution networks. The unit uses three-phase power, allowing it to connect to balanced industrial and commercial supplies without phase conversion. User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel that offers parameter access, operating status graphics, and local start and stop controls. The drive has no brake chopper, so regenerative energy generated during rapid deceleration must be handled by the mechanical system or separate braking equipment. Conducted emissions are attenuated by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps limit electrical interference transferred through the supply conductors. This filtering supports installation in locations where nearby equipment may be sensitive to conducted electromagnetic noise.
The control electronics use an uncoated printed circuit board, so the drive should be installed where airborne moisture, corrosive vapors, and conductive contaminants are controlled. The unit has no Adaptation B customization, leaving the standard HVAC control functions available without added software layers. Hardware slot A has no installed option, and the input section includes no mains option. Consequently, an additional communication or control module is not factory-installed in slot A. Any required line disconnect, input fuse kit, or comparable mains accessory must be provided separately as part of the installation. The Series Identifier 102 corresponds to the mechanical dimensions, terminal arrangement, and parameter structure used throughout the FC 102 range.
