Product Description:
The 131U1390 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency AC mains power into a regulated, variable-frequency output for controlling electric motors. The drive is intended primarily for fan and pump systems in building automation and other HVAC installations. Variable-speed operation allows the motor output to follow changes in airflow, pressure, or circulation demand instead of remaining at full speed. This control method can reduce energy use while helping HVAC equipment maintain stable operating conditions.
The model accepts a line supply of 380-480 VAC from a three-phase power network, allowing direct connection to common industrial electrical systems within that voltage range. An integrated RFI filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions that could otherwise travel through the power wiring and interfere with nearby equipment. The drive has no brake chopper, so it cannot switch an external braking resistor when the motor returns energy during rapid deceleration. Applications that produce regenerative energy must use a suitable external method if additional braking control is required. The drive contains uncoated printed circuit boards, so its installation enclosure should protect the internal electronics from corrosive contaminants, condensation, and excessive humidity.
User interaction is provided through a front-mounted graphical local control panel, which gives direct access to operating values, menus, and adjustable parameters. The display allows settings to be reviewed and changed at the drive without requiring a separate interface device. A standard language pack supplies the available menu text and help content for routine operation and setup. Clearly organized screens help users review drive status, adjust motor-control values, and identify active warnings or faults from the front of the unit. Terminal labeling follows the FC 102 arrangement, supporting orderly connections for incoming power, motor output, and control wiring inside the enclosure.
