The 131U0965 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is used in industrial and commercial ventilation systems where accurate fan or pump speed control can reduce energy consumption and maintain stable air-handling setpoints. Within an automation system, the drive receives run commands from a building management controller and adjusts motor frequency in response to real-time thermal demand. This control helps maintain programmed airflow, temperature, and pressure levels in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
The power stage accepts a nominal input of 380 to 480 VAC from a three-phase power network, covering common low-voltage supplies found in mechanical rooms. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, so additional external suppression is generally unnecessary when the drive is installed under suitable operating conditions. Parameters are configured through the front-mounted graphical local control panel, which displays operating status, warnings, and trend data without requiring a separate computer. The circuit boards have an uncoated PCB finish, making the unit suitable for clean, conditioned switchboards rather than areas exposed to corrosive contaminants.
