Product Description:
The 131U01931 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. As part of the VLT HVAC Drive product group, it uses the 102 platform architecture to regulate centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors in building automation systems. By varying motor speed instead of relying on throttling dampers or valves, the unit helps air-handling and hydronic systems maintain setpoints while reducing electrical demand and mechanical wear.
The inverter accepts a mains input of 380–480 VAC, matching the voltage range of many commercial utility supplies. It is wired for three-phase power, enabling direct connection to compatible wye or delta supplies without single-phase derating. The integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter attenuates conducted radio-frequency emissions, although additional filtering may be necessary in sensitive installations. Local setup is performed through the front-mounted graphical local control panel, which presents menu text, trends, and alarms on a backlit display. The order configuration does not include B, C1, or D options, so the associated auxiliary functions and expansion boards are not factory-installed. It also has no mains option, which means the required upstream disconnect and circuit protection must be provided separately.
The drive uses an uncoated printed circuit board, so it should be installed in a filtered enclosure when airborne contaminants are present. It has no brake chopper, and applications requiring rapid deceleration must use suitable external braking equipment. The drive has no A option, leaving the corresponding expansion position unused in the supplied configuration. It also includes no C0 option, so that expansion position is not populated at the factory. The standard configuration requires no adaptation, allowing it to use the regular parameter arrangement for the 102 platform. Installation clearances should permit adequate airflow around the enclosure so heat can leave the power electronics during continuous operation. Supply conductors, grounding, and external protection must be selected for the connected motor load and the applicable electrical requirements.
