Product Description:
The 131L9771 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. Within building automation systems, it adjusts the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors so that airflow, temperature, or pressure follows demand while reducing electrical consumption and mechanical wear. By matching motor speed to the actual load instead of running connected equipment at full output, the drive supports steadier process control in air-handling units, circulation loops, and similar HVAC installations. This type of variable-speed operation can also reduce throttling losses and lower mechanical stress on connected fan and pump assemblies.
This model is powered from a three-phase supply and accepts 380–480 VAC, a range that suits common low-voltage distribution networks used in commercial facilities. The enclosure has IP20 chassis protection, so the drive is intended for installation inside a ventilated control panel rather than in an exposed location. Option slot A carries the LonWorks MCA 108 interface, allowing the drive to communicate on a LonWorks building network, while slot B is fitted with a MCB-105 Relay Card for interlocks and status signaling. Input power is supplied through three line terminals because the unit uses three-phase power. Normal cabinet mounting across A, B, or C frames simplifies retrofits, and the drive has no brake chopper, so deceleration depends on the programmed ramp. The PCB is uncoated.
The local interface is a graphical local control panel that provides parameter access without external tools and lets the user review status information directly at the drive. Cable routing uses standard cable entries, and the unit has no secondary adaptation kit, no C0 or C1 motion options, and no D-slot accessory. Conducted emissions are limited by the built-in RFI filter, so extra line filtering is unnecessary for many installations. The drive is supplied with the latest standard software release, and the standard language pack is already loaded. On the network, the unit reports series identifier 102 and the VLT HVAC Drive product group code.
