Product Description:
The 131L9239 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. Designed for building-services automation, the unit modulates induction motor speed so that fans, pumps, and compressors provide the airflow or pressure requested by the control system. Adjusting motor output to match demand can reduce energy consumption, mechanical stress, and operating noise in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment. The drive serves as a field-mounted interface between the electrical distribution board and the connected machinery. It converts fixed mains power into a regulated output waveform suitable for variable-speed HVAC operation.
Its front door houses a graphical local control panel that displays setpoints, alarms, operating values, and trend data at the air-handling unit. The power section accepts a utility supply of 380–480 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial feeders. An enclosure rating of IP55 / Type 12 supports wall mounting in plant rooms where dust, moisture, or dripping condensate may be present. The integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions from the drive. Because no mains option is installed, the incoming line conductors terminate on the built-in terminals without an additional mains accessory. This arrangement also reduces the amount of separate equipment required around the drive.
The drive has no brake chopper, so an external dynamic braking resistor cannot be connected for rapid motor deceleration. Its printed circuit assembly uses an uncoated PCB, making the unit suitable for clean indoor locations without aggressive moisture, dust, or chemical vapors. The drive belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and carries series code 102. Option slots A, B, and D are empty, and the C0 and C1 positions do not contain additional relay or extended input/output cards. Adaptation B is not installed, and the base configuration does not include auxiliary coating or extra mains accessories. BACnet and Modbus support allows the drive to exchange commands, operating values, and alarm information with compatible building-management systems.
