Product Description:
The 131L9225 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency utility power into a variable-frequency output, allowing building-service motors to respond to actual airflow or water-flow demand instead of running continuously at a constant speed. This operation supports energy-efficient control of fans, pumps, and chillers in commercial HVAC systems. Building-management systems can also use the drive’s precise speed control to regulate indoor comfort while reducing mechanical stress on connected equipment.
The power section delivers 22 kW, which is equivalent to 30 HP and supports continuous operation of midrange HVAC motors. It accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial and commercial distribution systems. The IP55 / Type 12 enclosure protects the internal electronics from dust and low-pressure water jets, reducing the need for a separate protective cabinet. No brake chopper is installed, so the brake and safe-stop function associated with that hardware is inactive. Option slots A, B, C0, C1, and D are empty, leaving the drive without supplemental expansion cards. The unit also has no optional mains equipment, and its printed circuit boards do not have a protective coating. Cabinet placement should therefore account for the operating environment and the absence of additional board protection.
Electromagnetic emissions are controlled by the built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which supports compliance with common commercial installation limits without requiring separate filtering hardware. Operators access settings and operating data through the graphical local control panel, whose display provides a readable interface for adjusting motor and process parameters. Multilingual menus are included through the standard language pack, allowing the interface to present operating information in supported languages. The drive has no supplemental software package or extra input and output cards installed. Its internal layout leaves primary service points accessible and keeps airflow paths free from optional modules. The configuration is intended for direct speed control in ventilation and hydronic circulation systems where standard HVAC functions are required.
