Product Description:
The 131H9020 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. Designed for building automation, it regulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors so that airflow or chilled-water delivery matches real-time demand. The drive is installed between the fixed-frequency line supply and the motor, where it provides a variable output frequency for process control. Adjusting motor speed to actual demand can reduce energy consumption and mechanical stress in industrial ventilation and climate-control systems.
The drive has a continuous output rating of 45 kW, which corresponds to 60 HP when connected to a three-phase power supply. Its enclosure has an IP21 / Type 1 rating, providing protection against finger contact and vertically falling water drops during indoor installation. Operators interact with the unit through a graphical local control panel, which displays operating parameters, alarms, and trend data without requiring separate display equipment. The drive has no brake chopper, so motor deceleration is managed through configured ramp settings rather than a dynamic braking resistor. This arrangement is suitable for common HVAC loads with gradual acceleration and deceleration requirements. Frame sizes B, C, D, and E support installation in dry indoor equipment rooms and accommodate different power configurations within the product line.
Wiring is supported by standard cable entries, allowing cable glands to be installed directly at the enclosure. The drive has no installed RFI filter, so any required electromagnetic interference control must be provided through external components or system-level measures. Its control electronics use an uncoated printed circuit board, which should be protected from condensation, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. The base configuration does not include additional options in fields A, B, C0, C1, or D. A standard language pack supports interaction through the local control panel. The unit also has no mains option, so an external disconnect or other line-side equipment must be provided when required by the installation design or applicable electrical codes.
