Product Description:
The 131H6876 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of induction motors in air-handling units, pumps, and chillers, allowing motor output to follow real-time building demand. Variable-speed operation can reduce unnecessary energy consumption when connected equipment does not require full output. The drive provides dedicated fan and pump control functions for use within centralized building automation systems. Its chassis is designed for installation in a suitable electrical cabinet with adequate ventilation and protection.
The power stage is rated at 45 kW and can supply up to 60 HP when connected to a 380–480 VAC network. The unit operates with three-phase power, making it compatible with common industrial and commercial electrical distribution systems. It is supplied in an IP20 chassis housing, which protects against accidental contact with internal components but requires an additional enclosure where greater protection is necessary. Standard cabinet mounting supports consistent spacing and airflow around the chassis. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications that require controlled dissipation of regenerated energy must use an appropriate external arrangement. A built-in radio-frequency interference filter limits conducted emissions from the switching power stage.
The operator interface is a graphical local control panel that provides parameter navigation, real-time operating information, and local control keys. The D option slot contains an MCB-107 24 V DC backup module, allowing the control electronics to remain active during brief interruptions of the main supply. Field wiring enters through standard cable entries, while the unchanged terminal arrangement supports conventional cabinet wiring practices. The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, so it should be installed in a clean, dry switch room that limits exposure to moisture, dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. Its integral filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1) limits and can reduce the need for separate suppression components on a compatible low-voltage distribution system. Safe-stop braking is not included, so the machine design must provide suitable stopping and load-control measures for fault conditions. Proper cabinet airflow must be maintained to remove heat from the power electronics during continuous HVAC operation.
