The 131H1632 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and is intended to regulate the speed of fans, pumps, and compressors in building automation systems. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output, the unit provides efficient motor control that can be coordinated with building management networks. Variable-speed operation allows connected equipment to respond to changing airflow, pressure, or temperature demands rather than operating continuously at full speed.
This drive operates from a mains supply of 380–480 VAC through a three-phase power connection, allowing direct connection to typical industrial and commercial distribution panels. The enclosure provides IP20 chassis protection, so the unit must be installed inside a suitable cabinet to prevent exposure to dust, moisture, and unintended contact. Mechanical integration uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, which positions the heat sink for convection within standard HVAC panels. An internal RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted emissions and supports compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements. No additional mains option is installed. The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, making it suitable for installation in dry electrical rooms where conformal protection is not required. The unit has no local control panel, so operating commands and parameter adjustments must be provided through remote tools or the fieldbus connection. A brake chopper is not included, which means regenerative braking energy must be managed by external equipment when the application requires rapid deceleration.
