Product Description:
The 131H1437 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. Classified in the VLT HVAC Drive product group, the device converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that allows building automation controllers to vary the speed of motors on fans, pumps, and compressors. Integrating electronic speed control into the drive provides more precise process regulation than mechanical dampers or valves. This arrangement can also reduce energy consumption when connected equipment operates below its maximum speed for extended periods.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 20 HP, which is equal to 15 kW and supports medium-capacity air-handling equipment. Its power section accepts 380–480 VAC from three-phase power, allowing direct connection to compatible industrial utility supplies without a step-down transformer. The IP55 / Type 12 enclosure protects the electronics from dust and low-pressure water jets, making the unit suitable for wall or skid mounting in plant rooms. No mains option, brake chopper, or optional B, D, C0, or C1 module is installed, so regenerative energy must be managed by external equipment when the application requires braking. The printed circuit boards are uncoated and should not be exposed to corrosive vapors or other contaminants that could damage electronic components.
The factory-mounted A option is BACnet MCA 109, which provides network connectivity for integration with compatible building management systems. Local configuration and operating information are available through the graphical local control panel, with menu text supplied through the standard language pack. Power and control wiring pass through standard cable entries, and the housing has no mechanical adaptation, so it retains the baseline physical arrangement for this model. Conducted emissions are reduced by the internal RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps the installation satisfy applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements without a separate radio-frequency interference filter. The absence of preinstalled specialized I/O cards leaves external control connections available for the standard functions supported by the base drive.
