Product Description:
The 131G1419 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a controlled output that regulates the speed of induction motors used in building ventilation and hydronic systems. By matching motor speed to real-time demand, it improves energy efficiency in air-handling units, chilled-water pumps, and condenser fans found in industrial and commercial facilities. Variable-speed operation also reduces unnecessary mechanical stress caused by continuously running motors at full speed when system demand is low.
Electrical integration requires three-phase power, allowing direct connection to standard 380–480 V feeders. The enclosure carries an IP21 / Type 1 protection rating, guarding against finger contact and vertically dripping water when mounted in conditioned electrical rooms. Local configuration and diagnostics are handled through the graphical local control panel, which presents parameters, trend data, and fault codes without requiring external tools. Because the model has no installed filter, an external RFI filter may be added where conducted-emission limits apply. The unit has standard cable entries that accept metric or NPT glands for power and control conductors, simplifying cable routing within an electrical enclosure.
During deceleration, the controller operates without a brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be absorbed by the load or managed through separate braking equipment. Operator prompts are provided through the standard language pack, making menus and operating messages available in the supported languages. Functional features correspond to the latest standard software release loaded at the factory, supporting compatibility with current drive tools and control functions. Its classification in the VLT HVAC Drive product group provides predefined application macros for supply fans, return fans, and variable-primary pumping systems. These macros support closed-loop pressure or temperature control while reducing the amount of custom parameter entry required for common HVAC applications.
