Product Description:
The 131F9625 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied under the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors used in building automation systems. By adjusting motor speed to real-time demand, the drive helps control airflow and chilled-water delivery while reducing unnecessary energy consumption. This operating approach is especially useful for HVAC equipment with variable-torque loads, where full motor speed is not required continuously.
The power section accepts a mains input of 380–480 VAC through three-phase power, allowing direct connection to standard industrial distribution networks. Incoming electromagnetic noise is attenuated by the integrated RFI filter, which helps control conducted interference in commercial facilities. Local operation and parameter editing are handled through the detachable graphical local control panel. The keypad displays operating data, drive status, parameter menus, and alarm codes without requiring a separate control interface. Field wiring enters through standard cable entries, eliminating the need for custom gland plates. The standard terminal arrangement supports straightforward connections for motor conductors, mains power, and external control signals.
Braking energy management is based on a configuration with no brake chopper, so applications requiring regenerative deceleration must handle excess energy through external equipment or an appropriate system design. The control board uses an uncoated printed circuit board, making the drive best suited for clean electrical rooms without corrosive gases, heavy condensation, or aggressive airborne contaminants. The drive also has no C1 option, so additional filtering may be necessary when an installation requires stricter electromagnetic compatibility performance. Its VLT HVAC Drive product designation indicates that its motor-control functions and default settings are intended for variable-torque equipment such as air-handling fans, circulation pumps, and compressors. The drive can respond to changing process commands from a building management system to maintain the requested pressure, flow, or temperature. Its detachable operator panel also allows operating information to be viewed directly at the enclosure during normal system monitoring.
