Product Description:
The 131F6630 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It modulates the speed of induction motors that power air-handling units, chillers, ventilation systems, pumps, and other building equipment. Variable-speed operation allows airflow and water circulation to match actual demand rather than remain at maximum output. Building management controllers can send operating commands to the drive to maintain temperature, flow, and pressure setpoints. Controlled acceleration and deceleration also reduce mechanical stress on connected motors, fans, pumps, couplings, and piping systems.
The drive provides 37 kW of continuous output, equivalent to 50 hp, for operating medium-sized fans and pumps. Its input accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC with three-phase power, making it suitable for common commercial and industrial electrical systems. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components but requires installation in an appropriate cabinet. Internal electromagnetic compatibility components provide a conducted-emission classification of RFI Class A1/B (C1). Standard cabinet mounting keeps the heat sink aligned with available ventilation paths, allowing generated heat to move away from the power electronics. The power section does not include a brake chopper for dissipating regenerated energy during rapid deceleration.
Adaptation A provides standard cable entries, allowing field wiring to pass through metric knockouts without additional entry adapters. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the installation cabinet should limit exposure to moisture, conductive dust, and airborne contaminants. Local operation is handled through a graphical local control panel, which provides access to operating values, status information, alarms, and adjustable parameters. Its display supports direct interaction with the drive when a building management controller is unavailable or local access is preferred. The installed control software uses parameter structure 102, providing an organized menu arrangement for configuring motor data, control functions, input signals, output signals, and HVAC operating settings.
