Product Description:
The 131F6628 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that matches the torque and speed required by fans, pumps, or compressors in building automation systems. By adjusting motor speed rather than relying on mechanical throttling, it can maintain airflow, pressure, or temperature setpoints while reducing electrical consumption in large HVAC installations. The controlled output also supports gradual acceleration and deceleration, which can reduce mechanical stress on connected motors, couplings, and driven equipment.
This drive delivers a continuous output of 75 kW, equivalent to 100 HP, so it can control medium-sized induction motors found in air-handling units and chilled-water loops. It accepts supply voltages from 380–480 VAC on three-phase power networks, making it compatible with common industrial and commercial electrical systems. The chassis has an IP20 protection rating and is intended for installation inside suitable switchgear or control cabinets. Braking energy must be handled externally because the drive does not include a brake chopper. The printed circuit board is uncoated, so the enclosure should protect the electronics from excessive moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants.
The drive includes an RFI filter that limits conducted electrical emissions when the unit is installed and grounded correctly. It supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, with the required airflow and clearance provided inside the panel. A graphical local control panel provides access to operating data, parameter settings, diagnostics, and local start-stop commands from the front of the unit. Standard cable entries simplify the routing of mains, motor, and control wiring while helping installers maintain separation between power and signal conductors. The internal series code is 102, identifying the unit as part of the VLT FC 102 HVAC drive platform. Its control functions support variable-speed operation in ventilation, pumping, and compressor applications where stable process regulation is required.
