Product Description:
The 131F6626 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit varies the speed of induction motors that drive air-handling units, pumps, and compressors, allowing building automation controllers to match flow to real-time demand and reduce energy use. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output, it connects supervisory PLCs to equipment used in commercial air-conditioning and chilled-water systems. This adjustable output also reduces the need for mechanical throttling methods that can waste energy when demand falls below the maximum operating level.
The drive provides a continuous electrical output of 22 kW, equivalent to 30 HP, making it suitable for medium-sized blower or chiller loads without step-down gearing. It accepts incoming power at 380 to 480 VAC from a three-phase power supply, allowing direct connection to common industrial feeders within that voltage range. The drive uses an IP20 chassis enclosure, which protects against accidental finger contact while allowing cooling air to circulate through the housing. The drive has no brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use separate provisions appropriate for the connected motor and load. Its printed circuit boards are not coated, so the installation environment must keep humidity and airborne contamination within the permitted operating limits.
A graphical local control panel provides access to parameter editing, operating trends, status information, and local start-stop commands. The built-in RFI filter suppresses conducted electrical emissions, helping the drive operate in cabinets that also contain sensitive control and instrumentation equipment. Power and control cables pass through standard cable entries, supporting orderly routing without specialized entry hardware. The housing supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing it to be secured in a compatible electrical enclosure. The standard language pack provides multilingual menu access through the operator panel, while the base configuration excludes auxiliary disconnects, network cards, and application modules. No additional glands or extension boxes are included with this configuration, so any required accessories must be selected separately for the installation.
