Product Description:
The 131F5456 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a modulated output for controlling motor speed. Building-management controllers can use the drive to regulate centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors so that airflow or fluid flow follows actual heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning demand. Variable-speed operation also allows connected equipment to respond smoothly as system demand changes throughout the day.
The drive can deliver 18.5 kW of continuous electrical power to a connected motor. It accepts a mains supply of 380–480 VAC through a three-phase power network, allowing direct connection to standard industrial distribution systems. The chassis has an IP20 protection rating and is intended for installation inside a ventilated control cabinet that prevents accidental contact with live parts. A front-mounted graphical local control panel provides access to operating parameters, status information, and manual start and stop commands without requiring an external control device. The built-in RFI filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions that could interfere with nearby electrical equipment. The drive does not include an internal brake chopper, so an external braking arrangement is required when an application must dissipate regenerative energy during rapid deceleration.
The motor capacity is also rated at 25 HP for systems that use horsepower as the primary unit. The enclosure supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing compatible frame sizes to use consistent mounting arrangements within the cabinet. Adaptation A provides standard cable entries for routing power, motor, and control conductors into the enclosure. Adaptation B does not add another cable-entry modification, leaving room for a custom gland plate when the installation requires one. The unit uses an uncoated printed circuit board, making it most suitable for clean electrical rooms where corrosive gases, condensation, and conductive contamination are controlled. Option slots A, B, C0, C1, and D are unoccupied, so compatible plug-in communication, control, or application modules can be added when additional functions are needed.
