Product Description:
The 131F3370 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It converts constant-frequency mains power into a modulated electrical output that regulates the speed of fans, pumps, and compressors in building automation systems. Closed-loop control allows the drive to adjust motor speed in response to changing airflow, pressure, or temperature demands. This operating method can reduce unnecessary energy consumption when connected equipment does not need to run at full speed.
Rated motor output reaches 20 HP, corresponding to a continuous electrical capacity of 15 kW at the motor terminals. The drive accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC and uses three-phase power, allowing direct connection to standard industrial distribution systems within that voltage range. Its IP55 / Type 12 enclosure protects internal components from dust and splashed liquids. This protection supports installation in mechanical equipment rooms where airborne particles or occasional moisture may be present. The unit does not include a brake chopper, so regenerated energy produced by a rapidly decelerating motor must be managed through suitable external equipment when necessary. Its electrical design is intended for HVAC loads, which commonly use gradual acceleration and deceleration rather than frequent dynamic braking.
Control wiring enters through standard cable entries, providing an organized route for field wiring and control conductors. The printed circuit boards are uncoated and are intended for serviceable indoor environments without severe moisture or corrosive airborne contaminants. Operator interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel, which gives users access to operating values, settings, alarms, and drive status. Parameters are presented through a Standard Language Pack, making menus and operating information available in the supported standard languages. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by an integrated RFI filter, helping the drive meet common electromagnetic compatibility requirements for building services. The filter also limits high-frequency interference transmitted from the drive to the connected power network, reducing its effect on nearby electrical equipment.
