Product Description:
The 131F3158 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is intended for air-handling units, pumps, and related commercial building systems that benefit from variable-speed motor control. By adjusting motor speed to match real-time demand, the drive can reduce unnecessary energy use when equipment operates below full capacity. The controller also supports regulated acceleration and deceleration, helping connected machinery respond smoothly to changes in airflow or fluid demand.
The drive accepts a line supply of 380 to 480 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to compatible industrial mains without a transformer. Normal cabinet mounting is supported for A, B, and C frame sizes, providing flexibility when arranging the unit beside other control equipment. Its IP20 chassis enclosure limits access to hazardous internal parts while relying on ventilation from the surrounding panel for heat removal. Conducted radio-frequency interference is reduced by an internal RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which supports use in residential and light-industrial electrical environments when the installation follows applicable requirements. Network communication is available through the A-option slot with a PROFIBUS DP MCA 101 module, enabling the exchange of process commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with a compatible building management or automation system.
Power and control wiring enter through standard cable entries, allowing conventional routing inside the electrical cabinet. The unit has no brake chopper because common fan and pump applications generally do not require rapid dissipation of regenerated energy during deceleration. Its uncoated printed circuit boards are intended for clean indoor cabinets where protection from heavy condensation, corrosive vapor, or conductive dust is not required. The drive has no local control panel, so operating commands, parameter changes, and status monitoring must be handled through the available communication interface or a compatible remote tool. Adaptation B is not installed, and the B, C0, C1, and D option positions are empty. The mains input also has no additional mains option beyond the drive’s integral input components.
