Product Description:
The 131F0671 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a modulated output that allows building controllers to adjust fan or pump speed according to real-time demand. This variable-speed operation reduces unnecessary energy consumption and limits the mechanical stress associated with throttling dampers or repeatedly cycling motors. The drive is intended for applications such as air-handling units, cooling towers, circulation pumps, and chilled-water systems. Its compact platform supports installation in building automation panels where dependable motor control and communication with higher-level control systems are required.
The unit has a continuous motor output rating of 1.1 kW, which corresponds to 1.5 HP. It accepts an input voltage range of 380–480 VAC from three-phase power lines, making it suitable for common commercial and industrial electrical systems. The enclosure has an IP21 / Type 1 rating for indoor installation in areas protected from excessive moisture, dust, and direct water exposure. Standard cable entries simplify conductor routing through the gland plate and help maintain an orderly panel layout. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use suitable external equipment. Optional disconnects, additional electromagnetic compatibility components, or other mains accessories can also be installed externally when required by the system design.
Operator access is provided through a graphical local control panel with menu-based navigation, parameter entry, operating readouts, and alarm information. This interface allows settings to be reviewed directly at the drive without requiring a separate computer. A built-in RFI filter reduces conducted electrical noise that could otherwise affect building management, monitoring, or fire-alarm equipment connected to the same distribution system. The control board uses an uncoated printed circuit board, so the drive should be installed in a clean location that remains free from condensation and corrosive contaminants. The unit supports dry-room mounting for B, C, D, and E frames, allowing compatible frame sizes to be arranged within similar indoor cabinet layouts. Adequate ventilation and the required installation clearances should be maintained around the enclosure to support normal heat dissipation during continuous HVAC operation.
