The 131F0670 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output that lets building automation systems regulate centrifugal fans, pumps, or compressors with closed-loop precision. By adjusting motor speed rather than throttling dampers or valves, the drive helps lower energy consumption, noise, and mechanical wear in commercial HVAC installations. Its control functions support applications that require stable airflow, pressure, or temperature under changing building loads.
It delivers continuous shaft power of 5.5 kW, equivalent to 7.5 HP, enabling operation of midsize induction motors in supply or return fans. The input section accepts 380–480 VAC mains power and produces a controlled motor output through space-vector modulation. This voltage range covers many commercial building electrical services. Because the inverter is built for three-phase power, it connects directly to standard 50 Hz or 60 Hz distribution without step-up equipment or single-phase derating. The design omits brake chopper hardware.
