Product Description:
The 131F0668 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied under the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is intended for building automation, where it controls fan and pump motors in ventilation systems and hydronic loops. By adjusting motor speed to match demand, the drive provides precise flow control from a central building management system without relying on throttling valves or inlet guide vanes. This speed-based control can also reduce unnecessary motor operation during periods of low heating, cooling, or ventilation demand.
This model accepts a mains voltage range of 380–480 VAC and operates with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems. A factory-installed RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical emissions and supports electromagnetic compatibility when long motor cables are used. The IP21 / Type 1 enclosure protects internal components against limited contact with solid objects and vertically falling water drops, making the unit suitable for clean indoor electrical rooms. Parameter access is provided through a front-mounted graphical local control panel, which displays operating data and allows local adjustment of drive commands. The Series 102 designation places the unit within the second-generation VLT HVAC Drive platform and identifies its control architecture within that product line.
Cables pass through standard cable entries, providing conventional routing for mains, motor, and control wiring during panel or wall installation. The drive has no brake chopper, so an application that produces substantial regenerative energy requires an appropriate external system design to prevent DC-bus overvoltage. Its control electronics use an uncoated printed circuit board, making the drive best suited to locations where moisture, dust, chemical vapor, and other airborne contaminants are minimal. The unit supports dry-room mounting with B, C, D, and E frames, allowing the applicable enclosure size to be installed in a protected indoor area. Optional I/O, fieldbus, mains disconnect, and adaptation modules are not included in this configuration, so required external control and communication functions must be provided separately.
