Product Description:
The 131F0454 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors by adjusting motor speed in building automation systems. The drive converts fixed-frequency line power into a variable-frequency output that follows changing load demand. This control method can reduce energy consumption and mechanical wear in air-handling units, ventilation systems, and chilled-water circuits. Its HVAC-focused controls support applications in which flow or pressure must be adjusted throughout normal operation.
The unit provides 7.5 HP of mechanical output, which corresponds to an electrical power rating of 5.5 kW. It accepts line voltages from 380–480 VAC through a three-phase power connection. The drive is intended for indoor installation in dry, conditioned spaces. Its IP21 / Type 1 enclosure protects users from contact with live components and provides limited protection against vertically falling water droplets. An integrated RFI filter limits conducted electrical interference on the supply connection, helping the installation meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration must use an appropriate external braking arrangement. Its printed circuit boards are not coated, making clean installation conditions important for reliable operation.
User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel that supports parameter entry, operating-status review, and local diagnostics. The display gives operators direct access to HVAC settings without requiring a separate programming device. Standard cable entries accommodate conventional gland plates and simplify the routing of power, motor, and control conductors. Proper separation between power and signal wiring helps reduce electrical interference inside the installation. The interface includes a standard language pack for navigation through menus, operating values, and alarm messages. The software uses series code 102 and supports the drive’s general HVAC control functions and macros. Optional fieldbus equipment may be added when communication with a compatible building management or automation network is required.
