Product Description:
The 131F0427 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and listed in the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors used in building climate systems by converting fixed-frequency line power into a variable-frequency output that matches the airflow or pressure demanded by the automation controller. By adjusting motor speed rather than relying on mechanical throttling, the drive reduces energy use and mechanical wear in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning installations.
The inverter supplies up to 11 kW of continuous electrical power, equivalent to 15 HP at the driven machine. It operates with an input range of 380 to 480 VAC, allowing direct connection to standard low-voltage switchgear. The power section is designed for three-phase power, providing balanced line currents and efficient operation. A front-mounted graphical local control panel provides access to parameters, trend readouts, and local start and stop controls. To limit conducted emissions, the unit incorporates filtering that meets RFI Class A1/B (C1) requirements, eliminating the need for external line filters in most commercial installations. The model does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be dissipated externally when rapid deceleration is required.
The drive uses an IP20 chassis enclosure, making it finger-safe when mounted behind a panel but unsuitable for unprotected open-air placement. Its fixing holes support normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the same drilling templates to be used across compatible frame sizes. The internal electronics include an uncoated PCB, so the surrounding air must remain dry and free of corrosive contaminants to maintain long-term reliability. Optional A, B, C, and D modules are not fitted. The drive is supplied with standard cable entries and does not include adaptation accessories.
