The 131B9878 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates fan and pump motors in building automation by converting fixed-frequency line power into a modulated output that matches real-time airflow or water flow demand. This model belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive group and provides control and I/O functions suited to ventilation systems, cooling towers, and chiller applications.
This unit delivers a continuous output of 15 kW, equivalent to 20 HP, so it can handle midsized air-handling units and similar HVAC loads. The input section accepts 200–240 VAC, allowing direct connection to low-voltage three-phase distribution panels. An enclosure protection level of IP21 / Type 1 backplate limits exposure to vertically dripping water and large solid objects, making the drive suitable for dry mechanical rooms. There is no brake chopper, so regenerative energy from decelerating loads must be controlled through appropriate ramp settings or managed by the connected process.
