The 131B7749 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is intended for building automation systems where variable-speed control of fans, pumps, and compressors lowers energy consumption and matches airflow to real-time demand. By converting a fixed mains frequency into a modulated output, the unit allows facility controllers to adjust motor torque without relying on mechanical dampers or inlet vanes. This method can improve operating efficiency and reduce mechanical wear on connected equipment.

This model supplies up to 11 kW of continuous output for compatible HVAC motors. It accepts an input voltage range of 380–480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems. The input section uses three-phase power, which supports balanced line currents and smaller conductors than comparable single-phase arrangements. The enclosure has an IP55 / Type 12 rating, protecting internal components against dust and water jets in mechanical rooms. The A5 frame includes a backplate that provides access for installation and heat dissipation through the mounting surface. The drive includes no brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be managed by the connected load or another suitable system component. Standard cable entries simplify cable-gland preparation and help keep incoming power, motor, and control wiring organized.

An integrated EMC network rated RFI Class A1/B (C1) limits conducted electrical noise and supports compliance with building-service requirements. Upstream isolation is provided by a factory-installed mains disconnect, allowing the incoming supply to be isolated without separate switchgear. Operating setpoints and drive parameters are entered through the detachable graphical local control panel. Its standard language pack displays menu text in multiple languages for use at different sites. The printed circuit assemblies use an uncoated PCB design, so the drive should not be installed where corrosive gases, conductive dust, or chemical vapors could reach the electronics. The default control-terminal arrangement supports standard HVAC commands, status signals, and connections to building automation equipment.
