A high-capacity drive in the VLT FC 102 HVAC series, the Danfoss 131B7579 is developed for sophisticated motor control in industrial systems.

For big HVAC applications where safety, stringent regulations, and energy economy are crucial, its 22 kW (30 HP) capacity offers steady operation. It is interoperable with global industrial and commercial electrical networks and has a three-phase input voltage of 380–480 VAC. The 131B7579 is intended to withstand adverse conditions due to its IP55 (Type 12) enclosure certification, which offers exceptional resistance to water and moisture incursion. Given its integrated Class A1/B RFI filter, it is suitable for electromagnetic fields and is simple to use in vulnerable settings. It also has a main disconnect for improved safety and maintainability, as well as a graphical Local Control Panel (LCP) for easy setup, analysis, and parameter alterations. The drive has PCBs that are coated to increase durability, providing further protection against dust, humidity, and contaminants.

It is wall-mounted with a simple way to be installed and to be used in ambient conditions between –25 °C to +50 °C, at altitudes up to 2000 meters without any derating. Several communication protocols, including Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, N2 Metasys, and FC Protocol, as well as the optional LonWorks and BACnet/IP capabilities, may be used to manage and integrate the 131B7579. The drive has a broad frequency band of 0-590Hz and is suitable for a range of different motor applications. Flexible ramp times between 1 and 3600 seconds can be programmed for rapid acceleration or smooth, controlled starting for performance and protection.
