Product Description:
The 131B7579 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates induction-motor speed so that connected equipment can respond to changing process demand instead of operating continuously at full speed. This control approach is suitable for fans, pumps, and compressors used in industrial and commercial climate-control systems. By adjusting motor frequency and voltage, the drive supports controlled acceleration, stable operation, and reduced mechanical stress on HVAC equipment.
The drive accepts an input range of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power supply, making it suitable for common industrial distribution networks. It delivers a continuous mechanical output of 22 kW, equivalent to 30 HP, for medium-frame HVAC motors. The IP55 / Type 12 enclosure protects internal components against dust, water jets, and incidental contact while allowing installation near operating equipment. A built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions and supports operation with longer motor cables. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so an external dynamic-braking device is necessary when an application requires rapid deceleration of a high-inertia load. Standard cable entries provided through Adaptation A simplify conduit routing and help organize incoming power, motor, and control wiring.
Operator interaction is provided through the graphical local control panel, which supports local parameter adjustment, operating-status review, and trend monitoring. A built-in mains disconnect isolates the inverter from its supply during maintenance without requiring a separate disconnect switch at the drive. The control electronics use an uncoated printed circuit board, so the enclosure should be protected from condensation and corrosive airborne contaminants. Adaptation B is supplied without additional mechanical adaptation, preserving the standard enclosure arrangement for cabinet and wall-mounted layouts. The base configuration does not include extra function modules, allowing application-specific control or communication accessories to be selected separately when required. Series identifier 102 associates the unit with the control functions and application macros used by other FC 102 drives.
