Product Description:
The 131B7545 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is designed to regulate the speed of three-phase induction motors used in air-handling units, chillers, and pumping stations, allowing building or process automation systems to match fan or pump output to real-time demand and lower energy consumption. Internally, the drive converts the fixed-frequency supply into a pulse-width modulation output that can vary motor speed while maintaining torque and limiting inrush current.
This model delivers a continuous power rating of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP at the motor shaft and provides enough capacity for medium-sized ventilation zones or booster pumps. It accepts incoming utility power between 380 to 480 VAC and operates from a three-phase power supply, so it connects directly to common industrial mains without a transformer. The enclosure has an IP55 / Type 12 rating, which protects internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets. This protection allows the drive to be wall-mounted in suitable mechanical rooms without requiring a separate cabinet.
An integrated electromagnetic compatibility stage uses an RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter to suppress conducted emissions on the supply conductors, helping the installation meet typical building-services noise limits. Local setup and diagnostics are performed through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides parameter access and trend readouts without external tools. For safety lockout during maintenance, the unit includes a factory-installed mains disconnect switch that isolates all live conductors. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so excess regenerative energy must be absorbed by the load or dissipated in the motor. Standard cable entries simplify on-site wiring, while the uncoated printed circuit board is suited to clean, controlled installation areas. The absence of adaptation modules also helps maintain a compact footprint for wall-mounted applications.
