Product Description:

The 131B7038 Frequency Converter from Danfoss provides efficient motor speed and torque control. It ensures high performance with a typical shaft output of 5.5 kW (7.5 HP). It supports continuous and intermittent operation. It offers protection ratings and communication options for flexible integration.

This 131B7038 frequency converter’s continuous output current is 13 A at 3 x 380 – 440 V and 11 A at 3 x 441 – 480 V. The intermittent output current reaches 14.3 A at 3 x 380 – 440 V and 12.1 A at 3 x 441 – 480 V. The continuous power output is 9.0 kVA (400 V AC) and 8.8 kVA (460 V AC). The converter is equipped with STO functionality on Terminal 37 which is an essential safety feature that ensures the motor is safely de energized. The STO functionality cuts off the power supply to the motor’s drive. The voltage input range for the STO is 0 – 24 V DC. The maximum voltage at the input is 28 V DC. The input capacitance of the STO is 400 nF. The analog output of this converter supports up to 500 Ω load to GND. The accuracy of the output is within 0.5 % of full scale with 12 bit resolution. The analog output is galvanically isolated from PELV and high voltage terminals.

The RS-485 serial communication is supported by the 131B7038 frequency converter via control terminals 68 (P, TX+, RX+), 69 (N, TX–, RX–) and terminal 61 as common. The speed control range of this model in open loop is 1:100 and 1:1000 in closed loop. The speed accuracy in open loop is ± 8 rpm over a range of 30 – 4000 rpm.
