Product Description:
The 131B6126 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is used in building automation to regulate the speed of induction motors that run supply fans, exhaust fans, and hydronic pumps, allowing ventilation or fluid flow to follow the actual thermal load instead of a fixed design point. The drive is mechanically and electrically compatible with other FC 102 units, so plant capacity can be scaled without changing panel layouts or field wiring conventions.
Its electrical capacity reaches 20 HP, equivalent to 15 kW of continuous motor power, supporting medium-sized air-handling equipment. The input bridge accepts 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power supply, eliminating the need for external step-up transformers on common utility grids. Built-in protection routines monitor current, temperature, and DC-bus voltage to help protect the drive and connected motor during abnormal operating conditions. The unit does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative braking energy must be managed externally when the application requires rapid deceleration. An enclosure rating of IP55 / Type 12 provides resistance to dust ingress and water spray, allowing the drive to be mounted directly in suitable mechanical rooms without a separate NEMA cabinet.
The operator interface is a graphical local control panel that displays real-time speed, alarms, and parameter menus, while cabling passes through standard cable entries associated with Adaptation A. Conducted emissions are limited by the integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which supports compliance with applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements in residential and commercial buildings. The drive uses an uncoated printed circuit board, making it suitable for clean, temperature-controlled indoor spaces where corrosive gases, high humidity, and conductive contaminants are not present. Proper ventilation around the enclosure helps dissipate operating heat and supports stable performance under continuous motor loads. The Series Identifier 102 associates the device with the broader VLT HVAC Drive product group and its corresponding control architecture.
