Product Description:
The 131B5662 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency line power into a pulse-width-modulated output, allowing building automation systems to regulate centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors with closed-loop precision. Matching motor speed to actual airflow or water flow demand can reduce energy consumption and mechanical wear during normal HVAC operation. The drive uses the 102 control core found throughout the VLT HVAC platform, allowing compatible parameter sets to be used with other models in the same series.
The drive delivers a continuous mechanical output of 7.5 HP, which corresponds to 5.5 kW at the motor shaft. Its input bridge accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC and operates with three-phase power, eliminating the need for external transformers in typical utility rooms with compatible line service. The enclosure has an IP55 / Type 12 backplate rating, providing resistance to dust and sprayed water when the drive is mounted on a Frame A5, B, or C backplate. Conducted emissions are reduced by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps limit electrical interference on the incoming power network. Local setup and operating information are available through the graphical local control panel installed on the front cover. The drive does not contain a brake chopper, so applications that require dynamic braking must use an appropriate external arrangement. No mains option is installed, and the power stage operates from its internal DC link.
Power conductors enter through the standard cable entries, which accommodate conventional gland plates and support orderly routing inside the installation area. Menu text is supplied through the standard language pack, providing the normal interface language selection for operating and configuration tasks. The printed circuit board surfaces do not have a conformal coating, so the drive should be installed where exposure to corrosive chemicals, conductive dust, and persistent condensation is limited. A ventilated equipment room with controlled air quality helps protect the uncoated electronics while allowing heat generated during continuous operation to dissipate effectively.
