Product Description:
The 131B4222 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series, with an internal series identifier of 102. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output that allows building automation systems to regulate fan and pump motor speeds as loads vary. By matching airflow and water flow to actual demand, the unit supports efficient operation and stable temperature, pressure, and ventilation control in commercial and industrial facilities.
The drive accepts a nominal line supply of 380 to 480 VAC and is intended for three-phase power grids. It is supplied with no integrated mains disconnect or input fuses, so suitable external protection and isolation devices are required. Incoming conductors pass through standard cable entries, allowing power and control wiring to enter the enclosure through conventional cable glands. The IP55 / Type 12 enclosure protects internal components from dust, low-pressure water jets, and common indoor industrial contaminants when properly installed. An integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electrical emissions on the supply lines and supports operation in locations that require controlled electromagnetic interference. The cable glands, enclosure seals, and external protection must be selected and installed to preserve the intended level of protection.
The factory-mounted graphical local control panel provides direct access to operating parameters, status information, and drive controls without requiring a separate interface device. Its display and keypad allow settings to be reviewed or adjusted from the front of the enclosure, which is useful when the unit is installed in an accessible equipment area. The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, so the sealed enclosure provides the primary protection against moisture, dust, and airborne contaminants. The enclosure seals and cable entry points should remain intact to prevent contaminants from reaching the internal electronics. The drive does not include a brake chopper, making it unsuitable for applications that require the drive to dissipate substantial regenerative braking energy internally.
