Product Description:

The 131B3532 variable-frequency drive is produced by Danfoss and belongs to the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. In building and process automation, the unit adjusts motor frequency and voltage so fans, pumps, and compressors can follow changing load demands while maintaining stable pressure or flow. This makes it suitable for variable-torque applications where operating conditions change throughout the day. It is commonly used in air-handling and water-circulation systems that need steady speed control without constant full-load operation. In these systems, smoother speed adjustment can also reduce abrupt cycling of connected motors and dampers.

Incoming power compatibility spans 380–480 VAC, and the power section is designed for three-phase power to keep current balanced on facility mains. Operators program and diagnose the drive through a front-mounted graphical local control panel that displays text and trend data during operation. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating, so the drive should be installed in a cabinet while still providing protection against accidental finger contact. To reduce conducted noise, an integrated RFI filter attenuates high-frequency emissions on the supply lines. Wiring uses standard cable entries, and adaptation B is not installed. There is no A, B, C1, D, or mains option, and the C0 motion card and C software option are omitted.

The drive uses normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, matching the hole patterns used across these enclosure sizes. Its control boards have uncoated PCBs, so the unit is best suited for clean, dry electrical rooms rather than humid or corrosive areas. Because the boards are uncoated, the drive should not be placed where condensation or conductive dust is expected. For stopping, the design uses no brake chopper, so returned energy must be absorbed by the load or managed by the supply system. This setup is better suited to applications with limited regenerative energy during deceleration. The series identifier is 102, and the interface uses the standard language pack for on-screen text.
