Product Description:
The 131B3531 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of fans, pumps, and compressors used in building automation systems. By adjusting motor speed in response to control signals, the drive allows airflow or water flow to follow real-time demand. This variable-speed operation is suitable for ventilation, circulation, cooling, and other HVAC processes that require controlled motor output.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 18.5 kW, equivalent to 25 HP, so it can operate midrange HVAC motors. It accepts an input voltage of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power feed, eliminating the need for external phase conversion. The IP21 / Type 1 enclosure protects the internal electronics from vertically falling water and accidental contact with hazardous components. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so motor deceleration occurs naturally unless the application provides another method for handling regenerative energy. Supply conductors, motor leads, and control wiring must be selected according to the connected load and applicable installation requirements.
The drive mounts on a Frame B and C backplate for an open drive back, allowing the heat sink to extend outside the cabinet. Standard cable entries are included through Adaptation A to support organized routing of power and control conductors. An integrated RFI filter limits conducted electrical emissions that could otherwise affect nearby equipment through shared supply wiring. The circuit boards are uncoated and are intended for indoor service in a clean, controlled installation area. Local operation is provided through a graphical local control panel, which displays operating values and provides access to drive parameters. The Standard Language Pack supports menu navigation in the available interface languages. The unit uses the latest standard software release for its control functions. An external mains disconnect must be supplied when required by the installation or applicable electrical rules.
