The 131B3286 is a Danfoss VLT FC 102 HVAC drive in the VLT HVAC Drive product group. It serves as a variable-frequency converter that adjusts fan and pump speed to match real-time load demands, which can reduce electrical consumption and noise in air-handling and hydronic circuits. It is suited to ventilation and pumping duties where motor speed needs to change with building demand throughout the day. Communication with building automation systems is provided by the LonWorks MCA 108 module installed in the A-option slot.

For electrical integration, the drive accepts 380 – 480 VAC on a three-phase power supply and is intended for cabinet mounting on A, B, or C frames, so it fits standard MCC sections. A built-in RFI filter helps limit high-frequency emissions, while the enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating that provides finger protection after installation inside a cabinet. Standard cable entries are already punched under Adaptation A, and Adaptation B is not included. No mains option is included, so any line reactor or disconnect switch must be installed externally. The unit has no brake chopper, so excess kinetic energy cannot be dissipated internally, and its printed circuit boards are not coated, so it should be installed in a dry enclosure.

The control layer is expanded by the MCB-101 general-purpose I/O board in the B-option position, which adds extra digital and analog channels for damper end switches, flow sensors, or remote start signals. Power backup for critical parameters is maintained through the MCB-107 24 V DC backup module in the D-option slot, allowing the drive logic to stay active during brief mains interruptions. A front-mounted graphical local control panel provides plain-text access for local setup and monitoring by using the standard language pack, and the C-option software slot plus the C0 and C1 hardware positions are left empty for future functions without changing the current wiring plan.
