The 131B1272 is a variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. As a member of the VLT HVAC Drive product group, it regulates induction motor speed in ventilation, pumping, and chiller systems where precise airflow or water flow is required for building climate control. The unit carries the internal series identifier 102 and is intended for installation in dry mechanical rooms. Its speed regulation allows connected equipment to respond to changing demand rather than operate continuously at full output.

This drive accepts a supply of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power network and delivers up to 11 kW of electrical output, corresponding to 15 HP at the motor shaft. A gasketed front cover and drip shield provide an enclosure rating of IP21 / Type 1. The enclosure prevents accidental finger contact and protects against limited vertical dripping, but it is not intended for washdown areas. The mechanical layout supports frame sizes B, C, D, and E, providing several installation formats for compatible power configurations. The unit has no brake chopper, so it cannot dissipate regenerated energy internally and must rely on the motor or process to coast during a stop. Its printed circuit boards are not coated, making control of ambient moisture, dust, and airborne contamination important for dependable operation.

User interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel, which presents operating data, parameters, and menu selections in a readable format. Electromagnetic emissions are limited by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter for Category C1 installations. The drive uses standard cable entries to route conductors without additional entry plates. Menu text is provided through the Standard Language Pack, allowing operating information and settings to be displayed in the supported languages. The C0 and C1 accessory positions are empty, leaving those locations available without adding unused internal components.
