Product Description:
The FC-301PK55T4134L2680 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed three-phase utility power into a modulated output that allows plant controllers to adjust induction motor speed without mechanical throttling. Within an automation cell, the device regulates torque, saves energy, and protects equipment by coordinating motor operation with real-time process demand.
The inverter accepts a three-phase supply of 380–480 VAC and delivers a rated motor output of 0.55 kW, which is equivalent to 0.75 HP. At rated current, its efficiency reaches 0.95, minimizing the thermal load on switchgear. The displacement power factor remains above 0.98, while the true power factor is at least 0.9, limiting the reactive current drawn from the mains. A maximum phase imbalance of 3.0% is permitted before derating routines engage. The DC link can absorb regenerated energy at voltages up to 728 V DC; beyond that point, the unit activates its brake circuit. A high-voltage warning occurs at 810 V DC, and an overvoltage alarm follows at 820 V DC to protect the IGBT stack. Under rated load, the converter dissipates 42 W of heat, which must be considered when sizing enclosure ventilation.
The control section tolerates digital command levels up to 28 V DC and permits two power-ups per minute, reducing capacitor stress during frequent restarts. Flux-mode regulation is available at frequencies up to 300 Hz, while constant volts-per-hertz modulation supports a maximum output frequency of 590 Hz for high-speed spindles. Shielded motor cables may extend up to 50 m, while unshielded motor cables may extend up to 75 m before dV/dt filters are required. These cable limits help control voltage reflections and electrical noise between the drive and motor in industrial installations.
