Product Description:
The FC-301PK55T2131X7257 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series, with the series identifier 301. Designed to regulate the speed of three-phase motors, the unit modulates output frequency and voltage so conveyors, pumps, or mixers can match process demand while conserving energy. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, this compact controller installs in electrical panels and interfaces with PLC logic through discrete inputs for straightforward start-stop sequences.
At the electrical input, the drive accepts 200–240 VAC three-phase power and operates at the standard line frequency of 50/60 Hz ±5 %. Its continuous motor output is rated at 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP. The rated input current is 3.2 A, while the rated output current is 3.5 A. Conversion efficiency reaches 0.95, so only a small fraction of energy is dissipated as heat while the programmable output voltage tracks from 0 to 100 % of the line voltage. Four discrete control terminals handle onboard commands and accept signals from 0 to 24 V DC, while one optional terminal increases the total to five inputs. The logic circuit tolerates up to 28 V DC without damage, and the drive supports up to 50 m of shielded motor cable for installations where the motor is distant from the electrical panel.
In process control modes, the inverter can generate flux-vector pulses up to 300 Hz and extend carrier scheduling to a maximum output frequency of 590 Hz, supporting high-speed machinery. At 230 V, the apparent power draw is 1.39 kVA, and heat buildup is limited by a power loss of 42 W and the drive’s compact thermal path. When operating near its rated load, the displacement power factor remains at ≥0.9, reducing reactive demand on the facility transformer.
