Product Description:
The FC-301PK37T4134L2910 is a variable frequency drive supplied by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Positioned in the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it modulates the output voltage and frequency delivered to three-phase induction motors, providing precise electronic speed control without mechanical throttling. By matching motor torque to changing load requirements, the drive supports energy-efficient operation of pumps, fans, conveyors, and other motor-driven equipment in automated manufacturing cells. Its compact design allows it to serve as the motor control stage in machinery that requires adjustable speed, controlled acceleration, and repeatable operation.
The input section accepts a three-phase supply ranging from 380–480 VAC and provides a continuous motor output of 0.37 kW, equivalent to 0.50 HP. Pulse-width modulation allows the drive to produce a maximum programmed output frequency of 590 Hz, while the accepted supply frequency is 50/60 Hz ±5%. Flux optimization is limited to 300 Hz to control motor core losses at elevated operating frequencies. During normal operation, the output voltage can reach 100% of the input supply voltage, and the true power factor remains at or above 0.9. The drive may be powered up only once per minute, which prevents repeated energization of the input and DC-bus circuits. Input phase imbalance is limited to 3%, helping protect the rectifier and inverter power components from uneven electrical loading.
The drive has a short-circuit current rating of 100 kA RMS for coordination with suitable upstream protective devices. Its overvoltage alarm threshold is 820 VDC, while an earlier warning occurs when the DC bus reaches 810 VDC. Dynamic braking becomes active at 778 VDC and directs excess regenerated energy to a connected braking resistor. The displacement power factor is greater than 0.98, reducing reactive current demand on the incoming supply. The unit is qualified for environment category III/2 and uses a single-module design that occupies one IEC enclosure slot. These electrical protections help control abnormal bus voltage, short-circuit energy, and input power conditions during operation.
