Product Description:
The FC-301P7K5T4E20H1XG variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The device modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to an induction motor, allowing plant controllers to match shaft speed to changing process demand. Electronic motor control can reduce the energy otherwise consumed by mechanical throttling and can limit unnecessary stress on connected equipment. These capabilities support conveyor, pump, and fan applications that require controlled acceleration, steady operation, and gradual deceleration.
The drive accepts a mains supply ranging from 380–480 VAC and uses a three-phase power supply for connection to common industrial feeders. Its inverter stage delivers up to 7.5 kW of continuous electrical power, which corresponds to 10 HP of motor output. This capacity provides suitable power for midrange machinery while allowing the controller to regulate motor speed and torque according to process commands. An integrated EMC network rated as RFI Class A1/B limits conducted electromagnetic emissions and reduces interference with nearby control electronics. The applicable installation requirements for the selected RFI class must still be followed when routing motor, power, and control cables inside the cabinet.
Operator interaction is provided through a graphical local control panel that displays real-time speed, current, operating status, and alarm information. The panel also permits direct parameter entry at the cabinet, making operating values and fault information readily accessible. The IP20 chassis protects against accidental finger contact with live components, but the drive must be installed in a suitable switchboard or cabinet that protects it from dust and liquids. Its housing supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, providing a consistent arrangement for supported frame sizes. The drive includes no brake chopper, so regenerative energy produced during rapid deceleration must be managed by the motor system or suitable external braking equipment when the application requires it.
