Product Description:
The FC-301P7K5T4134L2986 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It belongs to the wider VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and interfaces with three-phase motors in industrial automation cells and HVAC skids. The drive modulates motor speed, controls acceleration ramps, and limits inrush current to provide precise process control.
It delivers a continuous electrical output power of 7.5 kW, which is equivalent to 10 HP. The input section accepts 380–480 VAC three-phase power and maintains a displacement power factor greater than 0.98, allowing efficient use of generator capacity. In open-loop flux control, the torque rises within 1 ms, enabling the drive to react quickly to load changes. Short-term overload torque reaches 110% for 0.5 seconds, supporting applications with demanding starts. Analog feedback uses 12-bit resolution, while digital outputs can supply 40 mA at frequencies up to 32 kHz. The drive permits two power-up cycles per minute without derating, which helps protect the DC-link components during repeated starts.
At full load, the enclosure can operate at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C and elevations up to 1,000 m without an output reduction, simplifying placement on mezzanines or rooftops. The drive tolerates a line phase imbalance of 3.0%. Its sensorless VVC+ algorithm provides a starting torque of 160% for 60 seconds and maintains a true power factor of at least 0.9. Efficiency is classified as IE2 under European guidelines. A Form C relay rated for 240 V AC and 2 A provides galvanic isolation for fan or alarm circuits. Torque rise in VVC+ mode is 10 ms, providing smooth acceleration when a high dynamic response is not required.
