Product Description:
The FC-301P7K5T4134L2688 is a Danfoss AC variable frequency drive supplied under the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controlled output for regulating motor speed and torque. Machine controllers can use this adjustable output to match motor operation to changing process demands. This control can improve energy use and limit mechanical wear in pumps, fans, and material-handling systems.
The drive provides a continuous output rating of 7.5 kW, which corresponds to 10 HP. It operates from a supply range of 380 to 480 VAC and draws 14.4 A when connected to a 380 to 440 V source. The unit maintains an efficiency of 0.97, helping reduce energy converted into unwanted heat during normal operation. Apparent power reaches 11 kVA, while the true power factor remains at or above 0.9 to limit reactive current in upstream equipment. Power loss is limited to 255 W, supporting installation in compact control enclosures with suitable ventilation. The three-phase input must remain within a 3.0% phase imbalance to prevent excessive DC-link ripple. Stable input power also helps reduce electrical stress on internal capacitors and power semiconductors during continuous service.
The motor side supplies a continuous output current of up to 16 A and permits a temporary increase to 160% during dynamic events. Carrier modulation is selectable up to 32 kHz, allowing the switching behavior to be adjusted for motor noise and thermal performance. The fundamental output frequency reaches 590 Hz, while a separate 300 Hz flux-mode limit supports field-oriented control of high-speed machines. Analog feedback ports can drive loads with resistance as low as 500 Ω, and digital signal outputs can provide 40 mA for external relays or indicators. Shielded motor cables may be installed in lengths up to 50 m, while unshielded motor cables may extend to 75 m. These cable allowances support motor placement away from the control cabinet without exceeding the permitted wiring distance.
