Product Description:
The FC-301P7K5T4131X7282 variable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. This AC inverter modulates three-phase power so a PLC can regulate motor speed in ventilation, pumping, and material-handling equipment without relying on mechanical dampers or gear changes. Its electronic speed control allows process output to be adjusted according to demand while reducing unnecessary motor operation. The compact format also supports installation in control panels used for automated industrial equipment.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 7.5 kW, which corresponds to 10 HP. It operates from a three-phase supply of 380 to 480 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of ±5%. The inverter provides an output frequency range of 0 to 590 Hz, allowing oversynchronous operation for high-speed applications. Its Class B overload profile supports 160% for 1 minute every 10 minutes, so brief process surges can be managed without interrupting operation. Two digital pulse outputs transmit actual speed or energy data to external counters. The isolated analog output supplies a 0/4–20 mA signal for PID loops, while a 10 V reference source supports sensor potentiometers with loads up to 15 mA. The displacement power factor remains above 0.98, and the true power factor remains above 0.9 to support efficient use of the upstream electrical supply.
Motor cable length can reach 50 m with shielded cable or 75 m with unshielded cable, helping keep reflected-wave voltage within motor insulation tolerances. The drive produces an output voltage of 0 to 100% of the supply voltage across the motor terminals. Flux-vector operation maintains torque over an output frequency range of 0 to 300 Hz, providing controlled performance at lower and moderate speeds. An auxiliary 24 V rail supplies 200 mA for external sensors or relays. Balanced current draw across the supply legs reduces unequal loading on the incoming electrical system. The available pulse, analog, and auxiliary connections allow the drive to exchange operating data with common industrial control devices.
