Product Description:
The FC-301P4K0T4134L2188 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Designed to control asynchronous motors in automated machinery, the unit receives three-phase industrial power and delivers variable-voltage, variable-frequency output that aligns motor speed with process demand. By integrating current limiting and DC-link braking, it allows pumps, fans, and conveyors to start smoothly and reduce energy consumption during partial-load operation.
On the input side, the drive accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC and is designed for three-phase power networks with a maximum phase imbalance of 3.0%. Its inverter section can deliver up to 4.0 kW of motor power while sustaining an overload of 160% for 1 minute in every 10 minutes during short demand surges. Electrical efficiency is supported by a displacement power factor of greater than 0.98 and a true power factor of at least 0.9, limiting reactive demand on the plant transformer. The mains terminals have Category III surge withstand capability, helping protect the input stage from transient overvoltage. To protect the precharge circuit, the product should be energized no more than twice per minute.
The fault-clearing capacity is rated at 100,000 A RMS symmetrical, allowing the drive to operate on high-energy feeders protected by fuses or circuit breakers rated for that value. An internal alarm activates if the DC bus exceeds 820 V DC, while the brake chopper connects at 728 V DC to dissipate excess regenerative energy. Shielded motor leads may run up to 50 m, while unshielded motor leads may extend to 75 m. Power conductors may have cross-sectional areas up to 4 mm², and control-terminal conductors may range from 0.25 mm² to 1.5 mm². These conductor limits support appropriate terminal fit and secure electrical connections without requiring oversized cabling.
