Product Description:
The FC-301P4K0T4134F8236 variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it converts fixed industrial line power into a regulated output that matches the commanded motor speed and torque. The device is intended for three-phase induction machines in conveyors, fans, and pump stations where precise flow or pressure modulation is required. Its compact chassis and integrated control terminals streamline installation inside standard automation panels.
It accepts a three-phase input of 380–480 VAC and achieves an operating efficiency of 0.97 under nominal load. Its continuous output ratings are 4.0 kW and 5.0 hp, supporting medium-duty mechanical axes. The displacement power factor remains above 0.98, while the true power factor is maintained at or above 0.9 to reduce reactive current. Phase imbalance must not exceed 3.0%, and a high-voltage warning is issued if the DC link reaches 810 V DC. The control board supplies 200 mA at 24 V for sensors, and a transistorized digital output can drive indicator loads of up to 40 mA. An internal brake chopper switches at 728 V DC when dynamic braking is required.
For transient loads, the inverter tolerates 160% current for one minute before returning to its continuous limits. If the link voltage rises further, an overvoltage alarm is generated at 820 V DC to protect the IGBT bridge. Steady-state semiconductor and magnetic losses are limited to 124 W, minimizing enclosure heating and simplifying thermal management. Power and motor terminals accommodate conductors up to 4 mm² (12 AWG). The drive also monitors the protective ground connection through its ground-fault logic. Its control system regulates motor operation during changing load conditions while monitoring the power stage for voltage, current, and grounding faults.
