Product Description:
The FC-301P45KT4131U2813 is an AC variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The unit modulates mains power to regulate the speed and torque of induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, fans, and material-handling equipment. Its compact dimensions allow direct mounting inside standard switchgear cells without requiring an oversized enclosure. Integrated control terminals accept process references through analog connections or fieldbus links, enabling the drive to respond to commands from a PLC. In a closed-loop system, the drive converts low-level control signals into the voltage and frequency required at the motor terminals while using feedback to correct operating deviations.
With a supply range of 380–480 VAC, the inverter delivers 45 kW at 400 V, corresponding to 60 hp for 460 V motors. Its output frequency is adjustable up to 590 Hz, while flux optimization remains effective through 300 Hz to improve torque performance at lower speeds. The drive meets the IE2 efficiency class and can maintain full-load operation at an ambient temperature of 45 °C. Its front end accepts a mains voltage imbalance of up to 3.0% and operates on three-phase electrical networks. These capabilities accommodate continuous-duty loads while maintaining the frequency range needed for both conventional motors and higher-speed applications.
Full ratings are maintained at altitudes up to 1000 m, while operation at elevations up to 3000 m requires thermal derating. Motor leads may extend to 50 m when shielded cable is used or 75 m with unshielded cable, allowing cable selection to reflect installation and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The control board provides one analog output with 12-bit resolution for transmitting a proportional process or status signal. It also provides two digital outputs, each capable of sourcing 40 mA for external indicators, relays, or interlocks. The drive permits one start per minute, which must be considered when an application requires frequent power cycling rather than ordinary speed commands issued while the unit remains energized.
