The FC-301P45KT4131B6467 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed 380–480 VAC three-phase mains power into a regulated output that allows controllers to vary induction motor speed, improving flow or conveying accuracy in automated plants. By inserting this drive between the mains supply and the motor, the system gains closed-loop speed control without mechanical throttling while retaining a consistent footprint and wiring arrangement within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group.
Control inputs are handled through 4 digital terminals that accept up to 28 V DC, enabling direct connection to PLC sourcing cards. Under nominal load, the inverter operates with a displacement power factor greater than 0.98 and an energy efficiency of 0.98, so reactive current and heat losses remain low. The output frequency can be adjusted continuously up to 590 Hz, providing sufficient headroom for oversynchronous motor operation. The drive maintains a continuous output current of 90 A for motors rated between 380 and 440 V. A true power factor of at least 0.9 further assists in meeting plant power-quality targets, and the drive is compatible with standard 50 or 60 Hz supply frequencies.
The nominal motor current reaches 106 A when full vector control is used, and the overload capacity is 150% for 1 minute every 10 minutes, allowing short duty peaks without oversizing the drive. Shaft power reaches 45 kW at 400 V, equivalent to 60 hp at 460 V, and the flux output frequency ceiling of 300 Hz supports sensorless vector control. The maximum power-up rate is limited to one restart per minute to protect the DC-link components from repeated inrush stress. Up to 50 m of shielded motor cable or 75 m of unshielded motor cable can be routed without additional output filters. The three-phase topology uses internal series code 301 and operates from the stated mains supply range.
